A clubhouse, four tennis courts, and a large heated pool provide a setting perfect for children and adults to enjoy lessons, competitive team and social activities throughout the summer months. The 140 family membership consider the Greenwood Club to be special place where traditions and memories are made.
Each summer, Red Cross swim lessons, diving lessons as well as group tennis lessons are offered at no extra charge. Lessons are available at all levels and age groups. Greenwood also participates in both swimming and tennis competitive team leagues with other clubs. The club sponsors many adult swim and tennis programs and activities as well.
Social activities are an integral part of the club. Family, adult-only and age-specific social activities are planned throughout the summer. Casual poolside barbecues, casino night, an annual ice cream social and Greenwood’s traditional season-ending awards night are just a sampling of the varied, fun-filled social events that the Greenwood Club has to offer. In addition, member’s guests are welcome during non-program hours (afternoons, evening and weekends) for a nominal fee.
Greenwood, a cooperative club, holds the philosophy that member participation fosters a sense of community and ownership. Therefore Greenwood member families are expected to contribute to the club in various ways including attending biannual member meetings and completing a work assessment each year.
